As you may recall the idea of a playground on the Field originated at an IRARA AGM and a group of IRARA residents developed the proposal and ran a consultation which generated some strong views – both in favour and against. The survey results are shown here.


Given the feedback we agreed at an AGM that we could not simply press ahead and with the City Council having no plans to put a playground in place, the IRARA Committee have agreed not to take the proposal any further. We are, however, beginning to explore whether the Field’s biodiversity could be enhanced with the introduction of some wildflower areas
